DIRECTOR'S NOTE
Welcome to CTC's final production of the 20205-2026 seasin, Shrek the Musical—a hilarious, heartfelt celebration of individuality, acceptance, and the beauty of embracing what makes us unique. Beneath the laughter, larger-than-life characters, and fairy tale fun is a story about finding belonging in a world that often judges by appearances.
Our production invites you into Shrek’s swamp, where misfits become heroes, unlikely friendships blossom, and true love is found in the most unexpected places. At its core, this show reminds us that being different is not something to hide—it is something to celebrate.
We hope this performance brings joy, laughter, and maybe even a new perspective on what it means to be “perfect.” Thank you for joining us on this adventure beyond the fairy tale. This production also brings a bit of sadness as we say farewell to our first 10 seniors who will graduate in a few weeks from our theater program and Crismon High School. They themselves have been a unique and joyful part of this journey!
Enjoy tonight's production of Dreamworks' SHREK THE MUSICAL

DIRECTOR'S NOTE
I am really happy that I was able to get this opportunity to direct this company. Directing Shrek has been a great learning experience for me. It is unlike anything I have ever done with theater. It is fun to be able to put the images from my head to the stage.
Shrek The Musical is about equality and loving yourself. We should all try to "Let Our Freak Flag Fly" and accept who we are and strive to be better.
I look forward to other opportunities to direct in the future. I would like to thank Mr. Thorn for the opportunity and my family for the love and support during this production.

Kile McKnight
"Shrek"
As a senior, playing Shrek in my final production, a dream role I’ve carried with me throughout my entire theater journey. This role means so much to me not just because of the character, but because of everything it represents: growth, confidence, and learning to be unapologetically myself. High school theater has given me more than a stage it’s given me a real family. These are the people who have supported me, laughed with me, and stood by me through everything, both on and off stage. It’s incredibly hard to say goodbye to a place and a group of people that have meant so much to me. I want to thank my amazing director, who has been there since day one not only guiding me as an actor, but helping me grow in the real life.

Cameron Eshelman
"Shrek"
Hello everyone! My name is Cameron Eshleman, I'm a sophmore at Crismon High school, and I am playing the role of Shrek. This production has been really fun, so far this year I've been in The One Act Play That Goes Wrong (Supporting role), The Little mermaid (Supporting role), Much ado about nothing (Shakespeare, Lead) and finally I'm wrapping up the year as the Title character of Shrek the musical. Its been such an awesome experience to do this show, and connect with the role of this show. In truth, Shrek and I have a lot in common. We're both softies who tend to hide it (sometimes), we both have some interesting food choices (Lol), and deep down, we both have a lot more to us than most people think. Thank you so much, enjoy the show...

I hope you all enjoy the show as much as I do!

Penny Erickson
Stage Manager
Over the last 3 years, Penny has grown alongside the CTC as a technician, performer, & person. As a senior at CHS, she is honored to have her experience culminate in this final project. However, none of this would’ve been possible without the unconditional support & relentless guidance she received from her mentors, Mr. & Mrs. Insalaco & Mr. Thorn, who gifted her the knowledge, time, resources, & opportunities to flourish in an otherwise chaotic environment. The skills she gleaned from the time she’s spent here are invaluable both within the field & out of it, & she couldn’t be more grateful for having been taught them.
