ABOUT THE PLAY

Little Shop of Horrors is a darkly comedic rock musical that blends doo-wop, Motown and early rock ‘n’ roll influences. Set in a struggling flower shop, the story follows a meek florist who stumbles upon a peculiar plant with an insatiable hunger. As the plant’s popularity grows, so does the temptation of fame, fortune, and success—at a dangerous cost. With catchy songs and a mix of humor and horror, the musical explores themes of ambition, morality, and the consequences of unchecked desire. A satirical take on classic B-movie horror, Little Shop of Horrors is both entertaining and thought-provoking.

DIRECTOR'S NOTE

Oftentimes, students and parents will ask me just what is my favorite musical of all time. My answer is always and consistently two titles. One being WEST SIDE STORY because of it’s compelling story line and moral and the other is LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS.

I fell in love with this campy, crazy, and musically genius work in the 80’s when the film version was released. The show has resonated with me all my life as one of the best musicals out there. It has played numerous times, including currently, off Broadway and had a brief Broadway run in 2003.

I have had the luck and privilege to direct the show 2 other times in my career and I am so excited to bring it back once again for the Queen Creek community!. I want to thank my friends at Music Theater of Anthem and Ironwood High School for helping us with the true stars of the show, the Audrey II puppets.

These kids love this show, love the characters, and you will feel that love as well. We hope you sing along and enjoy the Crismon Theater Company’s production of Little Shop of Horrors!

"Seymour"

Previously seen in QCPAC's production of The Lion King, as well as Crismon Theater Company’s musicals Frozen Jr as Elsa, Beauty and the Beast as Mrs. Potts, and Annie Jr. as Grace Farrell. She is thrilled to be returning to the stage as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors. Paisley was awarded the Maestro Award in the Anaheim Heritage Festival in the Spring of 2023 for her solo in "Carry the Light." She enjoys singing and sharing her talents through all creative outlets. Special thanks to all family and friends for the continued love and support.

Kile is so honored to have received such a musicaly challenging role. Little Shop was an amzing experience for him. He had lots of fun bonding with fellow cast memmbers, rehearsing, and being able to perform with a live pit for the first time! Kile has been blessed with the ability to take theater for over 5 years and has been in many plays and musicals not only at the crismon theater but also at QCPAC. But he admits that none of this would have been possible without the support from his friends and loved ones. He'd like to give a big shout out to Sarah his little sister for always helping him learn his lines and an extra thank you to Mya Mendoza who spent multiple hours helping him memories for this show as well. Thank you for watching!
