ABOUT THE PLAY
Styled as a farcical backstage comedy, The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong follows the fictitious Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society as they stage a murder mystery plagued by disastrous technical failures, forgotten lines, collapsing sets, and overblown performances. The tone is fast-paced, slapstick and self-aware. Beneath the physical comedy lies a loving parody of amateur theatre and its earnest participants, exploring themes of perseverance, the joy of failure and the absurdity of human attempts at perfection.
SENIOR NOTES
FROM OUR SENIOR DIRECTORS
Charlize Cooley, Daniel Gunsten & Zeek Moran
Good evening, everyone, and thank you for supporting the one-act play that goes wrong, produced by the Crismon Theater Company. Prepare for a show full of mystery and hilarity as a murder has occurred at Haversham Manor! The show was originally produced and put on by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Sheilds. This show was directed by a group of three exceptionally talented seniors who strive to entertain the audience. With an exceptional cast and crew who have worked hard and tirelessly to make this production the best it can be, with teamwork and dedication. This production is their capstone project for the Arizona Department of Education Fine Arts Seal of Proficiency. This seal will be attached to their graduation diplomas and is a very prestigious honor to have. We hope you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. Sincerely, Daniel Gunsten, Charlize Cooley, and Zeek Moran.

FROM OUR SENIOR STAGE MANAGER
Penny Erickson
The deeper I delve into the world of theater, the more appreciative I become of every little thing that goes into producing a show. For this project, I was given the opportunity by my peers, Charlize, Zeek, and Daniel, to dive into the deep end of technical theater that is stage management, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have been entrusted with such a vital aspect of this project.

In the grand scheme of things, I am a baby in the world of technical theater, and am learning new normals every day. However, from maintaining communication between cast, crew, and everyone in between to organizing and calling cues to conceptualizing mechanisms with our team, stage management has allowed me to build and reinforce bridges that I’ve never though possible. Every day greeted us with a new problem or ten to solve, and there is no other people I’d rather be trauma bonded to than the friends I’ve made here.
I’d like to give a special thank you to my fellow crew members who have been so patient and supportive throughout this whole endeavor. Thank you for taking the time to see this show, and I hope you enjoy!
MEET THE COMPANY
CAST

Avery Walker
"Chris"
I would like to thank Mr. Thorn for helping me get into The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong and helping me be better with my acting. I wanted to start theater because I love making people laugh and I also love meeting new people that share my same interests. In my first production, Annie JR, I was a few background characters(A maid and orphan) It definitely encouraged me to continue my career in acting. I auditioned for The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong because I knew that I could do better than my last audition and possibly get a better role. One of my personal hobbies is writing. It was always my dream to become an author before I started theater. But, writing books isn't the same as living one.

Rowen Crosgrove
"Robert"
Good Evening! This is Rowen Cosgrove's fifth production. She is very excited and thankful to have been a part of this wonderful production. She would like to thank her parents for supporting her in her theatre life, she would like to thank Mr Thorn for giving her these amazing opportunities and finally she would like to thank the amazing seniors who have pulled this play together beautifully. She would also like to say that the stage manager is doing so good and Rowen is very proud of her. Thank you for coming to see this show.

Jaxon Crowley
"Dennis"
Jaxon Crowley has been a dedicated actor ever since his first role as Cogsworth in beauty and the beast where he first fell in love with the Theatre. One-Act is Jaxon’s 5th production he has acted in where he plays the actor Dennis who in the play always messes up the props and doesn’t have the best relationship with the cast as he plays the butler, Perkins. Some people he thinks was instrumental in the Theatre journey was his friends Ethan and Logan who first encouraged him to even audition for Beauty and the Beast, as well as his family who have supported him ever since. Some other hobbies that Jaxon participates in occasionally is Dungeons and Dragons, Magic the Gathering, Golf, and sometimes Video games.

Cameron Eshleman
"Max"
Hello, my name is Cameron Eshleman. my heart holds a special place for productions like these. not for the fancy sets or the spotlight... but for the companionship. I've truly come to feel like I have a second family here with the people in the theater program. every show is a chance for us all to grow together and become not only better actors, but better people. and this but one of many. but anyways, enough with my mushy stuff. I'm so glad you've come to see our show "The Murder At Haversham Manner". we've worked really hard, and it is my hope and prayer that our hard work has ultimately shown in this production. 1 Peter 5:6-7
